Delaware Companies Make Strides in Poland with Support from Export Delaware
5/12/2025Earlier this spring, three Delaware small businesses joined Export Delaware on a weeklong business trip to Poland, and the results have been remarkable.
Thanks to the support of the Compass Grant, each participating company received a small grant to support their travel costs. The Export Delaware team provided customized export assistance, leading to $25,400 in immediate export sales and an estimated $1.49 million in projected sales over the next 18 months.
Turning Potential into Profit
Our trip to Poland wasn’t just a series of meetings—it was a strategic, targeted effort to connect Delaware companies with real buyers in a high-potential market. Over seven days, our team visited five cities, hosted an industry-led seminar, and facilitated 28 one-on-one meetings between Polish companies and Delaware businesses.
“It was a great experience and opened some promising doors.”
– Steve Whalen, Co-Founder, Sumuri
Each meeting was the result of extensive research and preparation. Our new in-country representative in Poland, Cédric Fromont, led the effort. His team spent weeks identifying and vetting prospects to ensure each meeting was meaningful and relevant. The Delaware companies left with qualified leads, promising partnerships, and valuable insight into the Polish market.
“I would describe the Poland trip as a success, especially since we’ve already received two orders from new customers. While the orders aren’t large, they’re opening orders, and I hope to see a lot more from them. Over the next two years, one or two jobs would likely be created or maintained due to growth in this market.”
– Andres Molanes, Chief Executive Officer, Argentek
