The Mexico trade mission is a terrific opportunity for Delaware companies to explore export options
7/27/2015
Delaware businesses will meet with representatives from Mexican companies and government officials to explore expansion opportunities and engage in exclusive business-to-business meetings in Mexico City, Mexico, September 29 – October 3.
Why Mexico?
- Mexico is a top export market for Delaware products and services.
- Mexico purchased over $60 billion in U.S. products last year in the bioscience, chemical, information communications technology (ICT) and agriculture sectors, Delaware’s top industries.
- The State of Delaware now has a trade rep based in Mexico City to assist with expansion efforts.
About the Mexico trade mission
Delaware’s in-country trade representative, Miguel de Regil, will arrange business meetings with distributors, agents and customers tailored to the needs of the attendees. He will also host a prep session and an in-country briefing prior to the meetings.
Transportation and interpreters will be provided, as well as onsite assistance by Miguel and Global Delaware staff.
There will be a debrief session upon return to Delaware to determine follow-up required.
Mission costs and financial assistance
The services provided by the State of Delaware on the Mexico mission are valued at $6,500 per company.
The cost of the Mexico mission per attendee is $500, plus travel expenses.
The State of Delaware offers Market Access Grants to assist Delaware companies in expanding their export business. The grant reimburses Delaware businesses up to 50 percent of all pre-aproved, eligible, export marketing expenses, up to a maximum of $2,000.
Companies should ask about the grant when inquiring about the Mexico trade mission.
