Go Global: another mission to Canada

Did you know that Canada is our nation’s biggest trade partner? Companies who participated in previous missions are projecting over $1 million in sales from the new partners they met on the trips. You have the same opportunity!

September 19 – 22, 2016

Trade missions provide an excellent opportunity to meet face to face with distributors and potential customers – all with the assistance of seasoned global trade experts.

By participating in the mission, you will get to meet with representatives from Canadian companies and government officials to explore expansion opportunities.

Delaware’s in-country trade representative, Ludovic Ortuno will arrange meetings with distributors, agents and customers tailored to your business needs. He will also host a prep session and an in-country briefing prior to the meetings.

Why Canada?

  • $1 trillion is bilaterally traded and invested between Canada and the United States every year. That’s an average of $1.9 billion per day, making it the world’s largest bilateral trade relationship.
  • 23 percent of all U.S. exports are traded to Canada.
  • Canada is one of Delaware’s largest export markets, with $626 million in exports to Canada and $2.4 billion in bilateral trade.
  • Canada has the largest growth in GDP of the G-7 countries, and is ranked the most favorable country to do business with of the G-20.

Mission costs and financial assistance
The services provided by the State of Delaware on the Canada mission are valued at $6,500 per company, but your cost will only be $500, plus travel expenses. AND a portion of your travel expenses may be eligible for a grant, thanks to the SBA award Delaware just received! It’s called the STEP Grant – find more info.
